Love is a Complicated Thing.

Love certainly is complicated. At least for some it is. As for this male, it simply seemed to fall into his paws as easily as a moth to a bright light. Females were so easy to catch; it was almost a sport to him, it seemed. This male was a flirt and nothing but a flirt. And that's all he was thinking about for a while now.

It had been a good week or so since he'd last seen a female. The last one had been funny; yet, as always, he never stuck around long enough to actually get to know them. As for another male wolf, well... He'd had an encounter with one of them not so long ago. As per usual, it didn't end up so well, but it was the regular thing for Renu, it seemed. Get the female and avoid the males.

But today he felt fresh and good, and so was on the hunt. Though not a hunt that most wolves would be on; no. He was on a hunt for a female. Again. But so far his trail had been cold. He'd scented a few, but they seemed to just disappear in front of him suddenly. Today just wasn't his day.

But he was determined, and so he continued his trek through the colorful yellow and orange woods. His ears detected a body of water in front of him; probably a creek or stream since it sounded like it was bubbling over the rocks. The foliage scraped his body as he weaved his way around the many trees and finally arived at the bank.

The creek was clear and reflected the sun brightly off of it's surface, breaking the light into many different shards to create an intricate dance on the top of the water. Underneath the flow were shadows of what he presumed to be fish flitting through the clear liquid. The round pebbles of the creek could be seen as if looking through a window on the bottom.

He took a step forward and a chill ran up his foot and through his spine at the temperature, yet he ignored it and took another step to where only his front paws were in the water, while his hind feet were planted on the ground. Perfect place to flirt, eh? He sure thought so.

It was early evening and Aubern was taking her usual run searching for something new, it could have been a new place or a new face, though the faces she perfered to see was of the opposite gender. Females were just no fun to her, she could never she eye to eye with another wolf of her same gender, and what could be gained of befriending a female. it would be much more entertaining to met a male.

She was always this way even with the males in her former pack maybe that was another reason why the females there couldn't stand to be around her. she knew they talked about her behind her back but it didn't matter what they said, she was just enjoying her self way too much playing with males feelings for her own pleasure; she got what she wanted from the males and then left them alone she felt no remorse for her actions it was just the way she was.

Her paws brought to a lake, she came her often. the only place she didn't mind coming to, this she where she found most of her victims. Most of the time they were some where by the lake getting a drink, laying around or looking for a companion. the ones that looked for companions were the easiest to fool, she stopped for a drink self feeling thirsty herself. she lowered her head and lapped up the cool water, once she quince her thirst she looked up across the other side of the lake seeing a lone wolf on the other side. form this distance it was hard to tell if it was a male or a female she decided to be more direct this time to found out which if it was a female she wouldn't bother going over. She raised her head and howled calling out to the wolf

Taking a drink for himself, Renu was surprised when a howl rang in his ears, sounding not all that far away. He raised his head, watter dripping from his maw, to see a wolf a ways down the creek from where he stood. From this distance he couldn't tell if it was a female or not, but the sound of her voice confirmed it and he grinned to himself. Just what he was looking for.

He raised his head and let out a howl of his own, returning the female's greeting. After his song was over, he began a trek through the sparkling water to meet her face to face. What luck he had! When he got closer, he began to make out her features. A brown wolf, slinder build, and a nice sparkle to her eye. He grinned, lighting up his features to her.

Aubern ears moved forward as the wolf returned her call, to her luck it was male, she knew this place would not fail her it there was always a male or two hanging around here, and unfortantly for him this male had to be the one she found. She was just about to walk around to met up with the male but to her surprise he was crossing over to met her, he must have been desperate for company this would be so easy she could she the wolf already falling for her.

As he came closer to her she took to time to taken in some of his features, he was a very interestingly colored wolf, two different shades of brown black sock markings. He was a very good looking wolf which only added to her own fun How long would it be before this wolf was eating out of her paws? she took a breath to compose herself getting herself ready for their encounter

Renu's charm didn't falter a bit as he neared the female. Standing directly in the stream, letting the rushing water run over his paws, he finally spoke to her. "What's a pretty thing like you doing out alone, may I ask?" he said, a charming grin finding it's way into his features. Of course he'd cut right to the chase and start flirting. That's to expect with this male. "I'm Renu, by the way." He liked the lively-looking spark in her eye. It told him that she wasn't one to be shy, but he wouldn't doubt it if she began acting that way. That's just what he expected from females; they usually always acted shy and timid around him.

(NO. MUSE. *Headdesk*)

It was time for some fun, soon her game of "love" would began and most likly with her walking away with what she wanted. It was a game with very pleasant awards to the winner of the game. while the loser was hung out to dry in there own self pity, and maybe even feeling of betrayal. but she felt no remorse for the males she tricked not even a smallest feeling of sympathy. Was it because she had no heart, not soul? Of course not she did this was just the way she choose to live her life. it didn't matter how it made others feel as long as her lust was filled. She perked her ears as the male spoke, A smile formed on her maw. the stage for the game was set, who would be the winner this time?

She batted her eyes a bit at the male as she spoke every word laced with seductive tones she was oh so familiar with, " Isn't it obvious? i was out looking for a good looking male like yourself." the first pieces of the game were moved, it was only the beginning. her twisted game of love was just starting and she was feeling confident, she thought a little playful banter and a few complements here and there and he would be hers as so many others before him were. she stepped up to him her tail wagging slightly, her paws were soon in the water just in front of the male, was she going to fast? maybe she was being a bit over confident but she hadn't failed before why should this time be different, "what about you handsome, whats a strong male like yourself doing alone" she said speaking with the same seductive tones as before.

Renu's ears were pulled back as the female spproached him, but he regained himself and didn't miss a beat; jumping right back into the fray. She was different; he'd never encountered a female who did this. His grin widened slightly. This is gonna be easy. He tilted his head to the side playfully, pointing his muzzle away from her though his pale yellow eyes were locked with hers. "That's funny; seems we're out for the same reason, then," he mused. Acting playful and strong with a compliment thrown in here and there, and she'd be his in no time.
