Name:
Emina
"That's scary freaking bird to you!"
Gender:
Female
Species:
Brown Necked Raven
Personality:
Many names have been attributed to Emina, but to avoid saying them would be in the authors best interest. To put it politely as possible, Emina is not a nice birdy.
Given, she has had some family troubles. When she was a mere hatch ling of only a couple of months, she fell from her nest - down, down, out of the tree she was born in. Her parents assumed her dead (for it is not uncommon for bad things to happen to chicks who can't behave), and had other chicks to care for, anyway.
Emina, upon hitting the ground, had miraculously survived the fall, but was no better off because of it. How she survived death could only be attributed to her species (for ravens are excellent carrion finders). Finding the occasional tidbit to eat here and there helped her survive - that, and the countless other birds in the area around where she fell.
If it were not for birds natural ability of uninhibited flight, Emina would have never learned to fly. But by watching the other birds, she learned how to fly on her own.
Regardless, the fall has left her traumatized and fearful of the air, and therefore she only flies when absolutely necessary. Absolutely necessary meaning when her life was in danger. Otherwise, she prefers to travel from tree to tree, or on the ground.
Her childhood has greatly contributed to her demeanor in regards to things that happen to be not-food. She is usually rude, pushy, demanding, tough, strong-willed, cautious, angry, and scary.
In other words, not the kind of bird you want in a cage around home. Unless you don't value your fingers. Or your life.
Appearance:
A raven. Black, but with subtle brown around the neck and throat. Otherwise, Emina looks like any other raven.
